With Back to School right around the corner, parents, college students, and savvy shoppers alike are gearing up to save money during Oklahoma’s tax-free weekend. From August 2nd at 12:01am until August 4th at 11:59pm clothing and footwear will be exempt from sales tax! These items will include everything from diapers to bathing suits, and covers a wide variety of other related items less than $100. The event does not, however, include any "special clothing or footwear designed for athletic activities" (cleats, etc.). For three days, families can shop tax free (as long as they’re within the parameters of the exemption) and keep some of their hard-earned money in their pockets.
We see it every year. Every time there is some sort of major shopping event going on, crowds rush to the stores and tempers flare. If you’ve gotten into some hot water and need an outstanding defense attorney, don’t hesitate to contact Marcy Fassio!

A big part of my life is self-improvement. I aim to constantly grow, learn, and improve. I believe this makes me a better person for myself, my family, and my clients. To that end, I recently attended Tony Robbin’s "Unleash the Power Within" event. Robbins serves as a motivational speaker and philanthropist who shares his insight on improving your life through the power that’s already within you. One chord that struck me was Robbin’s take on changing the course of our lives through altering our habits. Rather than itemizing our habits and trying to change, Robbins suggests a ten minute meditation session at the beginning of each day to keep us in a positive emotional state, which, in- turn, will make us prone to make better decisions throughout the day; making it easier for us to break our bad habits and alter the course of our life.
